chapter 7 Ministry of Magic

Harry encountered his day of hearing as he left the house followed by encouraging words from the members, to the ministry to magic. Mr. Weasly, who worked as an employee in the ministry in the department of misuse of muggle artifacts office, escorted Harry towards the middle of London, after stopping in front of an old red telephone box. Harry was confused as Mr. Weasly opened the telephone box, following with the words "After you." After both of them entered the rather confined place for two men, Mr. Weasly entered a dial in the telephone. "Welcome to the Ministry of Magic. Please state your name and business." sounded a voice from the phone. The ground somehow shifted bellow them as Mr. Weasly answered the question. A minute later, they were under the ground, welcomed by a voice "The ministry of magic wishes you a pleasant day." and a highly polished hallway with dark wood floor, crowded with wizards and employees. Halfway through the hallway, they met a golden fountain; as Harry thought to himself desperately "If I'm not expelled from Hogwarts, I'll put in ten galleons. (Wizard money.)"

Mr. Weasly escorted Harry to a window noted "Security," as his wand was scanned and thrust back together with a piece of parchment by the wizard called Eric in the window. They received both, as they jostled through the crowd, heading towards a lift. A pack of wizards joined them and left them as the lift arrived at numerous levels of the building and departments. Harry and Mr. Weasly left the lift at level two "Department of Magical Law Enforcement, including Wizengamot Administration Services." They walked through a nearside cubicle that noted Auror Headquarters.  Magazines of his godfather, Sirius were plastered along the walls. However, after a short while, a wizard with white hair came running towards them, in a hurry. "The potters hearing- they've changed the time and venue- it starts at 8 o'clock now and it's down in old courtroom ten-" informed the wizard. Mr. Weasly panicked with the word and hurried Harry back through the hallway to the lift. As they arrived hurriedly in front of the courtroom, Mr. Weasly pushed Harry in front. "Aren't you coming with me?." asked Harry anxiously as Mr. Weasly responded, "No, no, I'm not allowed." Harry swallowed hard as he opened the courtroom door.

Overall, it was a short chapter, but a chapter that included sufficient information about the ministry.
I thought the detailed and realistic settings (Such as the lifts and departments) were similar to the
real world. However, the fact that it also contained magical elements were interesting as well. In addition, the balance between the two was really good; It wasn't too fictional but also not too realistic for a fictional book. It also showed the fact that Sirius was indeed in great danger, and was still mistaken as one of the most dangerous criminals, due to his magazine's plastered amount the Auros walls. Aurors are a work in the ministry, which the job contents are to face the dark magic and dangerous criminals, similar to cops in the real world. At the end of the chapter, I was surprised at the sudden story deployment. As a reader, I hope Harry will succeed in his hearing.  I am looking forward to the next chapter of how Harry's hearing will turn out as well.
