Chapter 9 The Woes of Mrs Weasley
Harry was surprised by dumbledore's sudden departure, but he himself also left the courtroom shortly to remeet with Mr. Weasly. "Cleared!." "of all charges." Mr. Weasly beamed as he seized Harry's shoulder, and headed back the way to the headquarters. Harry was welcomed by his friends who seemed as much as relieved as him, despite the fact that they insisted they believed he would get off from the first place. However, as the weekends passed, Harry could not help but notice that Sirius had been not wholly overjoyed with his return to Hogwarts. Hermione told off Harry, "Don't you go feeling guilty!." "And he(Sirius) probably felt a bit guilty himself, because I think a part of him was really hoping you'd to be expelled. Then you'd both be outcasts together." Harry protested towards Hermione, but their conversation was finished as Mrs. Weasly came barging into the room to beg them for help. Harry noticed himself daydreaming about Hogwarts as the day of their departure drew nearer. On the last day of their holiday, owls carrying letters for them arrived at the headquarters, including the list of new wizard books they would need for the new year. However, Ron had turned still and looked almost shocked as he gazed at his letter.
"Prefect?" gaped Fred as he looked into Rons enveloped and seized out a badge. Hermione came barging into the room shortly, stammering "Did you get- did you get-?." mostly asking towards Harry. When she saw Harry examining Ron's Prefect badge, she burst out excitedly, "I knew it!.""Me too! Harry, me too!." "No" replied Harry quickly. "It's Ron, not me." Hermione gaped as she heard his reply, but tried to hide her surprise by praising Ron, "Wow! Well done, that's really..." but failed to do so as Geroge added "Unexpected." to he sentence. Prefects were the high ranks given to two students in each house of Hogwarts, Griffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff, by the headmaster. Their jobs were to mostly do prefect jobs and lead the whole house as representatives. Mrs. Weasly who came barging into the room later on shrieked at Ron's badge, kissing him all over the face. "You've got a reward for this!." she said. Ron followed after his mom as he insisted he wanted a new broomstick if he was receiving a reward, and Fred and Geroge apparated from the room after mocking Ron for several minutes. Hermione also left the room as she informed Harry she wanted to tell her parents about being perfect as well. Harry was left alone to think to himself. "I've definitely done more than them." "But maybe Dumbledore chooses them for other reasons... Ron must have something you don't..." He felt sickened with himself after wondering enough why he had not been made a prefect but Ron. (He almost ignored the fact of Hermione being a prefect; she was too much earnest to not receive the rank)
Later on the day, Harry was called by mad-eye who gave him a particular photo of The Order of the Phoenix 14 years ago, when Voldemort and his army had fought with them the last time. Mad-eye gave him a pitty full look as he saw that Harry was not as much amused with the picture. "thought that would interest you.!" However, Harry felt almost grief as he saw the faces on the photo, after gazing at all the people he was familiar with, but never actually met, that had gone(died) in order to fight Voldemort. Harry slipped from the spot as Sirius arrived to talk with mad-eye. He was relieved to be alone again but encountered a sound of sobbing shortly. He opened a room door to see Mrs. Weasly trying to finish off a Bogart. (A magical creature that transforms into the biggest fear of the wizard who encounters it.) It first transformed into a dead body of Ron, after transforming into Bill, spread-eagled on his back (Another member of the Weasly's), dead Fred and George, dead Percy, and dead Harry. "Mrs. Weasly just get out of here!." shouted Harry. "Let someone else-" he said as Lupin came barging into the room and finishing off the boggart as it disappeared with a puff of smoke. "It was just a Bogart." "A stupid Bogart," Lupin said, as he soothed Mrs. Weasly. "Half of the f-f-amily's in the Order, it'll b-b-be a miracle if we all come through this." she sobbed. Lupin continued to soothe her as he told her that the order was prepared this time, and it would not be as worse as 14 years before until she finally smiled muttering to herself "Being silly..." However, Harry could not think that Mrs. Weasly was silly after remembering the photograph Mad-eye had shown him; all the faces on the photograph beaming, unaware of their lives drawing to an end. The chapter ends with a complex description of Harry. "He felt older than he had ever felt in his life and it seemed extraordinary to him that barely an hour ago he had been worried about a joke shop and who had got a Prefect's badge."
I thought it was a chapter that contained numerous and detailed expressions about Harry's feelings.
The whole tone of it was extremely dark, despite the fact that Harry resulted to be cleared from his expel. In addition, I also thought it was a great chapter that described the process of maturing inside a person. Especialy in the latter half of the story where Harry faces Mrs. Weasly fighting with the bogart and thinking about all the people in the phoenix who had sacrificed themselves to fight Voldemort. I heard that J.K Rowling and the Harry Potter series were also known for their decent descriptions about character feelings. In addition, though the reading of her biography, I also learned that she herself had a hard life until succeeding as a novelist. I thought that this chapter was a good example of the decent descriptions contained in the books. In addition, I also thought that it was a chapter the author was capable of writing, due to her own hard experiences.
